Process

Before Care

• When you book your appointment, please drink at least 2 litres of water daily for the weeks leading up to your visit.
• Avoid using lipstick.
• Scrub your lips once a day with honey and sugar for at least a week. You can also use olive oil and sugar if preferred.
• Your lips must be hydrated on the day of the treatment for the best results.
• If you have recent Lip Fillers, cold sores, or cuts or bruises, kindly postpone your appointment by at least four weeks.

During Treatment

• At first, you meet with the semi-permanent makeup master for a consultation.
• Together you will find the best shape and fix any asymmetry with a white pen.
• The skin is then cleansed with a lotion and a numbing cream is applied for 45 minutes – we all know how sensitive our lips are and our aim is to ensure a comfortable session.
• The lip colour is then applied inside the lips – dot by dot.
• Once finished a soothing ointment is applied.

After Care

• Importantly it is vital to keep your lips hydrated with the ointment provided.
• Please follow these instructions on the first day: no smoking, kissing, alcohol, or hot and spicy food.
• Avoid spicy food for the next seven days.
• Keep your lips clean, moisturise with a good lip balm for the next five days and drink lots of water.
• Wash them daily with clean drinking water only.
• For the next seven days, avoid sun exposure and swimming.
• Avoid touching the lips with your tongue. After 4 – 6 days, the skin will start peeling; do not pull the scabs.
• The lip colour will change a few times until the colour settles.

Side effects

• Your lips may be swollen for up to 24 hours.
• You may develop cold sores, dryness, and extreme sensitivity.
